Okay, this is a slight departure from my usual music picks, in that I am now highlighting a three-brother band of kids whose first major hit was a song called “MMMBop”. They were literally children when they started, and their first song could easily be described as “Ear Worm Music” mainly because it ran about three octives higher than Alvin and the Chipmunks.

But when I was searching for a song done by Three Dog Night, I ran across Hanson’s version done on the Howard Stern Show. It seems like the kids from Tulsa, Oklahoma — Isaac, Taylor, and Zach Hanson — have grown up and in the process, gotten much, much better.

Now all they have to do is overcome the teeny-bopper label and they might actually make it big. They certainly have the talent.
