Raised by Wolves centers on two androids, Father and Mother, tasked with raising human children on Kepler-22b after the Earth was destroyed by a great war. As the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task.
The first two episodes were directed by Ridley Scott, who also serves as an executive producer for the show.

The Earth it embroiled in a religious war between those who believe in “SOL” and the “Atheists”. Atheism becomes an actual belief in an of itself — an organized group whose mission is to destroy religion altogether in order to live up to the complete human potential. The war has gotten so bad that the believers in SOL leave the planet in an “Ark” to find a planet they can worship their god without being attacked and killed by the Atheists.
